The agreement between you and CitePage. We've kept it readable, but it's a real contract — the important parts are that CitePage is a tool, you author every opinion, and you must verify what it produces.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of CitePage — the website, app, and services operated by CitePage ("CitePage," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you're using CitePage on behalf of a business, you're agreeing on its behalf.
CitePage is software for independent expert witnesses that turns an uploaded case bundle into a page-cited chronology, with conflicts and gaps flagged for your review and an exportable audit trail. It is a productivity tool that organizes and cites information — it is not a law firm, a medical practice, or a provider of professional advice.
You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. Notify us promptly at hello@citepage.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
You retain all ownership of the records you upload and the chronologies you produce ("Your Content"). You grant CitePage only the limited rights needed to process and store Your Content in order to provide the service to you. We handle it under our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. By submitting records, you represent that you have the necessary authority, consent, or legal basis to provide them to a processor for this purpose — including for any medical records, PHI, or privileged material — and that doing so does not violate any law, court order, protective order, or obligation you owe to a client or third party.
CitePage organizes facts and cites sources; it never forms or writes your opinions. Any expert opinion, conclusion, causation determination, or testimony remains entirely yours, authored and signed by you in the exercise of your own professional judgment.
CitePage does not provide legal advice or medical advice, and using it does not create any attorney–client, physician–patient, or other professional relationship with CitePage. You remain solely responsible for complying with the rules of evidence, disclosure obligations, professional and ethical duties, and any court orders that apply to your engagement.
You agree not to:
We may suspend accounts that violate this section to protect the service and other users.
CitePage uses AI to read documents and build chronologies. AI can make mistakes. While we design the engine to cite every fact to its source page and to flag what it cannot read, we do not warrant that outputs are complete, accurate, or error-free.
You must independently verify every output before relying on it — this is exactly why each line is cited to its source page. CitePage is a force multiplier on your review, never a substitute for it. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you adopt, file, or testify to.
Paid plans are billed as described at signup and on our pricing page — for example, per case or on a monthly subscription. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; you can cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current billing period. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated. We may change pricing on a going-forward basis with notice; any founding-member rate we promise will be honored as described at the time you subscribe.
CitePage, including its software, design, and brand, is owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service under these Terms. You keep Your Content; we keep CitePage. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that outputs will meet your requirements. CitePage is assistive software, not legal or medical advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CitePage and its people will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (or USD $100 if you paid nothing). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or to protect the service or other users. On termination, your right to use the service ends. You can delete Your Content at any time; after termination we will delete or de-identify Your Content in the ordinary course, subject to limited legal retention. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example, ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida will have jurisdiction over any dispute not otherwise resolved, and you consent to venue there, to the extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of CitePage after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
